Bishop McNamara offers a variety of scholarships to its students. Funding comes from a variety of sources including the Diocese of Joliet, Bishop McNamara High School, and our generous donors. Some scholarships are funded annually and others have been established by families to memorialize loved ones. To learn more about some of our scholarships, please click on the links listed below:
Scholarships Available to Incoming Freshman Class of 2018
The Principal’s Scholarship:
Is available to students who take the Placement Test and score among the top 10%. The Scholarship amount is $1,000 and is applied to Freshman Year Tuition. To be eligible, you must sit for the Placement Test in January 2014.
The Mary Ellen O’Connor Scholarship:
Goes to the students receiving the top Placement Test score at Aquinas Catholic Academy, Maternity BVM, St. Joseph’s Bradley,and St. Rose Wilmington who attend Bishop McNamara in the Fall of 2014. The Scholarship amount is $500 and is applied to Freshman Year Tuition. To be eligible, you must sit for the Placement Test in January 2014.
Goes to the student receiving the top Placement Test score at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Bourbonnais who attends Bishop McNamara in the Fall of 2014. The Scholarship amount is $500 and is applied to Freshman Year Tuition. To be eligible, you must sit for the Placement Test in January 2014.
Kazma Family Foundation Scholarship:
Is available to incoming Catholic freshmen with financial need.To apply for this scholarship, please visit the Diocese of Joliet website at www.dioceseofjoliet.org/edfoundation. Please note, applicants must also have applied for FACTS. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2014. Those selected as Kazma recipients will have $3,000-$5,000 applied to tuition annually. Grades must be maintained to renew each year.
Bishop Blanchette CCW Scholarship:
Is awarded to Catholic students and applications are available from your Parish Council of Catholic Women (CCW). The application process begins in January. Please check with your home parish to see if they have a Catholic Council of Women.
Ryan Beaupre Memorial Scholarship:
Is available to an incoming freshman with a passion for Bishop McNamara and who has financial need. The Scholarship amount is $250 and is applied to tuition annually. The applicant must also have applied for FACTS.Please fill our the attached Ryan Beaupre Memorial Scholarship form. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2014.
Scholarships Available to All Our Students - Grades 9 - 12
Catholic Education Foundation Scholarship:
Is available to those who are registered parishioners at a Catholic parish within the Diocese of Joliet. $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually and an application form must be completed each year. The Catholic Education Foundation at the Diocese of Joliet uses a third party company, FACTS, in order to objectively evaluate the need for financial aid. These scholarships are awarded by applying to FACTS online at https://online.factsmgt.com/aid. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2014. A variety of additional scholarships are offered to our students from Bishop McNamara and a variety of sources namely…our generous donors. Please fill out the attached SUPPLEMETARY APPLICATION FOR TUITION ASSISTANCE AND SCHOLARSHIPS in order to be considered for any of these scholarships.The deadline to apply is March 28, 2014.
Presence St. Mary's Employee Scholarship - Up to $1000 awarded to incoming freshmen and current McNamara Catholic students. At least one parent must be an employee of Presence.
To apply, families must:
- Fill out Presence St. Mary's Scholarship Application
- Be sure to include proof of employment (from PSMH Human Resources Dept.)

At McNamara Catholic, many books must be purchased by students. This can be done through MBS Direct or any on-line bookstore. When not using MBS, please be sure to have the exact title and edition to ensure you are purchasing the appropriate book.

Students are always encouraged to sell their books directly to underclassmen.
