TUITION/FINANCIAL AID
Providing a Values-Based Education

While Catholic education is a ministry, and teachers consider themselves engaged in a vocation, there are still wages to be paid, and a physical plant to be maintained. Your tuition payments and fund raising efforts go directly to these expenses. There are several ways to finance a McNamara Education.

TUITION

McNamara tuition is the lowest in the Joliet Diocese. Fund raising and financial aid work to keep it as low as possible.

Tuition for 2008-2009:
1st child - $5,850.00, 2nd child  - $5,400, 3rd child - $4,800, 4th child - free
Tuition discounts are given for families with two or more children simultaneously enrolled.

2009-20010 tuition will be set in January 2009.

FUND RAISING

The actual cost of educating each McNamara student is offset by fund raising efforts. McNamara fund raising projects reduce Student tuition by well over $2,000 per student. That's good news. Even better news is the fact that studies have shown that because volunteering provides an opportunity for school families to get to know one another, school communities benefit from coming together for fund raisers.

Every fall, each McNamara Student is responsible for the sale of calendars (total: $280). For families with more than one student at McNamara, the maximum responsibility is twelve calendars ($420).

McNamara's Spring Auction defrays the cost of tuition while it brings the Mac community together with a common goal. The annual auction features a Friday family night of fun and games, and an elegant Saturday Dinner Auction. Both events earn well over $275,000, all of which directly benefits McNamara High School.

FINANCIAL AID

McNamara High School provides over $115,000 in financial aid each year. 30-40% of McNamara students receive Financial Assistance. Financial aid is awarded based on need. An objective third-party evaluator provides privacy and expertise in determining amounts awarded. McNamara High School uses the Private School Aid Service (
FACTS).
