Mrs. Haigh's Classroom
Welcome to Physical Education!
Hi, I am Kim Haigh and I am so excited to be teaching Physical Education at Bishop McNamara Catholic School!
I have been looking forward to such a fun and new school year! I have been teaching Physical Education for 12 years. This is my 5th year teaching at what is now BMCS the Bradley site.
I began an interest in Physical Education when I was in 6th grade. I loved being active, playing sports and I thought it would be so wonderful to show others the importance of being physically active at a young age, so they can carry that necessity throughout life. I was born and raised in Bourbonnais and attended Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School. I continued on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Fitness and a second Bachelor's in Physical Education from Illinois State University. I currently taught Physical Education in the Summit Hill School District in Frankfort and the Bourbonnais School District.
My husband Ben and I have three children Trinity, Anderson "Rocco" and Maverick. I love spending time outside and with family and friends. I like to snorkel, run and enjoy taking pictures and watching my children grow!
I am so happy and blessed to be working with all of the fabulous students at Bishop McNamara Catholic School. Physical Education is important for both children and adults to live long healthy lives. I encourage everyone to GET MOVING and HAVE FUN!!
