Welcome to 6th Grade ELA

Hello! My name is Jamie Menard. I am the English Language Arts teacher for 6th grade as well and the Resource and RtI teacher at at the Bourbonnais site.

I feel so blessed to be a part of the Bishop McNamara Catholic School family again this year!

This is my 15th year of teaching. I received my Master's degree from Olivet Nazarene University and am a Reading Specialist. I have taught Kindergarten, Second and Third Grade. I also worked as a Reading Specialist for four years where I taught children in Kindergarten though 4th Grade. I also cotaught 5th and 6th Grade ELA Strategy Applications.

My family and I enjoy spending time together. We especially enjoy going camping and cheering on our favorite hockey team, the Chicago Blackhawks.

I have been married to my husband Jason for 15 years. We met at Bishop McNamara High School! We have 2 children. Joseph is in 7th grade. Madilyn is in 6th grade right here at the Bishop McNamara Bourbonnais Site. As a family, it doesn't matter what we are doing as long as we are doing it together.
