Ms. Vaubel's Classroom
Hi everyone, I am Ms. Vaubel! I am the 7/8th grade Social Studies & 8th grade Intro to Spanish teacher. I am very excited and looking forward to a great year with everyone.
In Social Studies, our focus will be on American History. This year we will have many opportunities to be apart of engaging, hands-on experiences that help us learn about our country's history. Our 7th graders will have the chance to enhance their roles as citizens as we learn about the U.S. and Illinois Constitutions and how they affect our daily lives. Our 8th graders will be looking into more recent history as we dive into how the American way of life has changed from the Civil War, Reconstruction, WWI, the Roaring Twenties, etc.
As for Spanish, this will be an introductory course offered to 8th graders to get them prepared for high school Spanish courses.
I look forward to a fun-filled year with everyone! Go Irish!
Ms. Vaubel's Background
I am so excited to be here at BMCS! I graduated from Bishop McNamara with some of the best memories that I will hold with me forever. I received my degree from Purdue University with a Bachelors in Social Studies Education and Minors in Government & Citizenship and Economics. Going to school at Bishop McNamara is what inspired me to become an educator and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be here as a teacher. I cannot wait to help each student grow through knowledge, love, and Christ this year at this very special place!
Students are HAPPY to learn at BMCS!
