Ms. Watson's Classroom

Welcome to Kindergarten!

Hello! I am Ms. Watson.

I am honored to be partnering with you this year to ensure that your child can reach his/her full potential. Kindergarten is the important first step in learning, and it is my goal to make it a comfortable and fun experience.

I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Olivet Nazarene University. I also received my endorsement to teach English as a Second Language from The University of Notre Dame. I was fortunate to complete my student teaching in the Catholic school system and after graduation I stepped into the role of second grade teacher, a position I held for four years. I then moved down to kindergarten and have enjoyed teaching this level for the past six years. These past ten years which I have spent in the Catholic school system have been a blessing to me.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me by calling the school office or emailing me at jwatson@bmcss.org.

First Day of School

Number of the Day

Each day we learn about a new number and practice our printing in our Number of the Day journal.

Fun at Recess

Playing together at recess is a great time to try new things and make new friends!

September

Our Five Senses

We learned how to use our five senses to investigate the world around us. Our favorite experiment was using our sense of smell to guess what was in a paper bag.

Recess Fun

We work hard and play hard in kindergarten! Play helps us learn how to work as a team and make lasting friendships.

STEM Towers

We worked in groups to build a strong tower out of cups, sticks, and blocks. Oops! I'm sorry I missed one group when I was taking pictures!

Homecoming Parade

We showed our Irish spirit during the Homecoming Parade!

October

Move Your Feet

We helped raise money for students in the diocese who need a little extra support. After a parade through the school, we had a dance party!
