High School Placement Exam
Thursday, November 29, 2018 is the "Pre-exam" Night from 6:30 p.m - 8:00 p.m. The Placement Exam is for students planning to attend BMCS High School the following fall.
The Pre-exam Night starts at 6:30 p.m. Parents &/or guardians should plan on attending with their child, there will be an informational meeting for parents &/or guardians while the students take a short sample test. The purpose of this evening is to finalize preregistration forms, learn about scholarship and tuition assistance opportunities as well as to have the students take a sample test to settle any pre-test jitters they may be experiencing.
Saturday, December 1, 2018 is the High School Placement Exam. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. test will begin at 8:00 a.m. and finish around 11:30 a.m. Students need to bring two #2 pencils with them on test day. No calculators are allowed.

Placement Criteria: Placement of incoming students will be based on a combination of the following factors:
- Performance on the high school placement exam.
- Academic ability as demonstrated by the review of the 7th and 8th grade report cards.
- Performance on the 7th and 8th grade standardized tests. (For example: Iowa Test, Explore Test, I-SAT scores.)
- Teacher recommendations.
