Brother Gerard LaMarre, C.S.V.

Born and raised in Bourbonnais, he became a Viatorian Brother in 1924. His teaching career spanned fifty years, most of them at St. Patrick, St. Patrick Central and Bishop McNamara High School. His teaching career was cut short in 1974 when he was severely beaten and robbed the night of the celebration of his 50th anniversary as a Viatorian Brother. He was named an Honorary Irish Alumnus in 1993. Brother LaMarre died on May 12, 1999.
