Class of 1953 - 65 Year Reunion
The St. Patrick's High School Class of 1953 recently held a two day affair to celebrate their 65th class reunion. A ladies luncheon was held at Oliver’s Bar & Grill in Bradley, on Friday, June 22, 2018, with six classmates in attendance. Acting as hostess was Sharon Draude who also gave us updates on those who could not attend.
On Saturday, June 23, 2018, the 1953 classmates of St. Pat’s gathered at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, in Bourbonnais, for a luncheon. Twelve were in attendance, with the "Longest Distance Traveler" award going to Josie Agatone Leone, Boca Raton, FL.
Following lunch, "Loyal and Faithful" awards were presented to Sharon Draude, Jean Sells Hartman, Larry Skelly, Paul Cardosi and Steve Serve for their unfailing attendance at each and every class reunion through the years. In addition, prayer cards were presented to them containing the names of the 42 classmates who have passed away. Although Betty Morrow Chambers, who has never missed a class reunion, could not attend this year, her sister Patricia Morrow Hunter (class of '51) attended in her place. Door prize winners for the afternoon were Sr. Charmaine, Tom McVey and Nancy Potter.
This mini class reunion also served as a farewell party for Sr. Charmaine, who has been reassigned to the Mother House in Springfield, Illinois.Credit for the weekend goes to Larry Skelly, and his phone committee of Sharon Draude and Jean Sells Hartman. The party may have been small in number, but size definitely did not matter, as St. Pat’s spirits were high!
