Catholic Ministry Office
The Catholic Ministry Office seeks to inspire the students to live a life of grace, an abundant life that only God can provide. There are four main avenues of sharing the Gospel and integrating the faith in the daily life of students:
-
Faith Formation – A daily religion class offers students a chance to learn the basics of the faith. After many years, students should have a comprehensive understanding of what the Church teaches. Students are invited and encouraged to live out the faith in everyday life.
-
Liturgy – School Masses present an encounter with the Living God through the mystery and power of the sacraments. The high school students have a chance to worship Jesus in communal prayer twice a month. Junior high has Mass every week celebrated by local pastors.
-
Christian Service – Frequent opportunities to serve others, especially the most needy, will help students grow toward a practice of self-gift and generosity. Service also assists young people find gratitude for the gifts they have.
-
Retreats – Each year there is a class retreat designed to give students a time of quiet prayer and reflection mixed with encouraging talks from other students and staff. This is a chance to discover anew God’s love for us and His plan for our lives.
Jesus said, “I came that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10
