Retreats

At Bishop McNamara we aim to find God in all things - in our diversity, in our strength of character, in our academic excellence, in our athletic perseverance and in our kinship with one another.

In this same spirit, the Catholic Ministry Office retreat programs provide opportunities for our students to serve, to reflect, and to build stronger relationships with the marginalized, with one another, with oneself and with God. Realizing that students have busy schedules, the Catholic Ministry Office provides retreats all year round to meet students all the time, not just the school year.

Juniors

Juniors (and Seniors) have the option to attend Kairos (Greek word meaning “God’s Time”). Students will spend 4 days: Doubt, Feel, Trust, Live. These are single-gender retreats with the girls participating in October and the boys in November. Through many different activities, the Kairos retreatants will be asked to reflect on their relationship with themselves, others, and God. The application and fee information are available in the Catholic Ministry Office.

Seniors

Seniors (and Juniors) have the option to attend Kairos (Greek word meaning “God’s Time”). Students will spend 4 days: Doubt, Feel, Trust, Live. Seniors also gather in their final few weeks of school to participate in the class retreat. The retreat is built upon prayer, activities, and adult talks from various business, vocation, and college students and their faith journeys. The retreat helps with some final preparations for the coming journey into their college education.
