William Salkeld

Bill Salkeld graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1947. Bill is passionate about Catholic education and Bishop McNamara. While their children were students at Bishop Mac he and his wife Faye were leaders and innovators of all the major events: The Spring Dance sponsored by the Huddle Club, Madcaps, the Alumni Phonathon and the Auction. They were named Honorary Chairmen of the Auction in 1995. For 33 years Bill ran the clock for Mac football games. Bill is a member of virtually every civic organization in Kankakee, and is a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks. Bill’s wife Faye passed away in 2011 after 53 years of marriage. All six of their children are Irish Alum; Sue Salkeld Flott ‘76, Mark Salkeld ‘77, Barb Salkeld Roney 78, Tricia Salkeld Krugman 79, Karen Salkeld ’80 and Dan Salkeld ‘83.
