Walter & Margaret Luehrs

Margaret and Walter Luehrs were proud McNamara parents for twenty-eight years, while their eleven children attended our school. During these many years they worked quietly behind the scenes, doing whatever was needed to assure the success of the many projects and events from the Annual Spring Dance to Madcaps and everything in between. Walter was a Mechanical Engineer and consulted on many building and renovation projects at Bishop McNamara. Through their strong Catholic faith, Walter and Peggy serve as role models not only for their children, but for all who have known them. Walter passed away in March 2009, and Peggy continues her volunteer work at Provena St. Mary’s Hospital. Their children are Maureen, Caroline, Joseph, Patricia, Susan, Lynn, Mary, Stephen, Jyll, Joan and Jean.
