Mac PAC Leadership Opportunities

Below you will find an overview of our Mac PAC Leadership team roles and responsibilities, a calendar of highlighted Mac PAC events, and a link to join the Mac PAC Team

Leadership Roles and Responsibilities


 

Monthly Meetings

The Mac PAC leadership team collaborates and attends monthly Mac PAC meetings. They also work closely with school administration for monthly meeting topics.

Teacher Appreciation Week

We celebrate our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week – the first full week of May each year. Site Leaders will coordinate gifts of food and appreciation to give special thanks and show the love and gratitude we all share for our teachers at Bishop McNamara.


 

Mac PAC Calendar

Mac PAC President:

The president of Mac PAC main role is to lead monthly meetings and oversee the management of Mac PAC fundraisers and events.  

Other Responsibilities:

  • Manage Mac PAC Facebook Page
  • Draft Mac PAC communications to Site Leaders, Parents, and  BMCS Administration
  • Participate in setting the Mac PAC budget

Parent Ambassador hours received: full credit for required service hours.


Site Leaders:
Bradley Site Leader
Bourbonnais Site Leader 
Kankakee Site Leader

The Site Leaders serve as a leader for the site Room Parents and other parent volunteers. Site Leaders promote communications to room parents such as monthly Mac PAC Monday reminders, Catholic schools week, Teacher appreciation week, and class party updates.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning Mac PAC sponsored events, fundraisers, and activities

Parent Ambassador hours received: half credit for required service hours.


Treasurer

The Treasurer participates in setting and maintaining the Mac PAC budget.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Mac PAC Monthly Treasurer report
  • Review and approve all Mac PAC reimbursement sheets
  • Assist the Director of Finance with any reimbursement issues

Parent Ambassador hours received: half credit for required service hours.


Secretary

The Secretary works distribute monthly meeting agendas, completed meeting notes, meeting sign in sheets, and event sign in sheets. 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Receive and track RSVP’s for the Mac PAC sponsored parent/student events

Class Parents


 

Mac PAC Class Parents Role (PK- 12th)


  • Class Parents should attend monthly Mac PAC meetings and will receive service hour credit for attendance. 
  • On the 1st Monday of every month, we show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate them with Mac PAC Mondays! Each class is designated to a certain month of the year. The class parent for each grade are responsible to coordinate one month of each year at their site. 
  • We celebrate our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week – the first full week of May each year. Class parents are responsible to coordinate this special week of thanks to our Teachers with the Site Leads.
  • Assist in communicating information to the parents of the students in your classroom.

Additional Role for Class Parents (PK-8th):

  • Class Parents are responsible for planning and coordinating classroom parties in PK- 8. (Halloween & Valentine's Day)

Parent Ambassador hours received: 1 hour per meeting attended and hours worked per event (parties etc)
