We are pleased to introduce to you our 34th Annual Dinner Auction Honorary Chairpersons, Mr. & Mrs. Tom and Maureen O'Connor.
Tom (’56) and Maureen O’Connor were both born and raised in the area and have been long time supporters of Bishop McNamara.Tom is a retired CPA with 54 years of accounting experience. He started out as an Internal Revenue Agent in Kankakee after college and then worked for 44 years as a partner at Larimer & O’Connor in Bradley. Maureen is a retired Kindergarten teacher after 22 years teaching in Bradley and Bourbonnais. She volunteered in the community at the Exploration Station Children’s Museum, and continues to volunteer at Presence St. Mary’s Hospital, and the Fortin Villa Learning Center. She enjoys giving school tours at St. Mary’s and teaching art weekly to children in the Little Picassos program. Both Tom and Maureen were very active at St. Martin’s parish. Tom was on the parish council for years and helped with financial matters. Maureen taught CCD and more recently was involved in leadership roles in the CCW. They started volunteering at Madcaps back in the 80’s when their children were still in grade school and continued that commitment throughout Madcaps tenure. For many years, Tom helped with the Grand Raffle by validating the ticket entries for the raffle. They continue to support Bishop McNamara with scholarship funding and other donations.
Their family consists of Kelly (’81), Tom Jr. (’82), and Kathleen(Sissy) (’84).Some of their grandchildren, Corinne (’16), Broghan (’19) and Callaghan (’26) also attended or attend Bishop McNamara.
It is with great pride that we honor them this year as our 34th Annual Dinner Auction Honorary Chairpersons.
