Dear Parents,
As we journey through the month of February, a time often associated with love and kindness, we are reminded of the words of Scripture: “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14).
Our parents show their love everyday by the way you support our teachers and school. Thank you! May this month be filled with moments of grace, patience, and compassion in your homes and in our school community. Thank you for the love and faith you share with your children each day.

Enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year will be open on Friday, February 13th. New Family enrollment will open on Friday, February 20th. Spread the word!
New Family Tours: The grade schools will be opening their doors for new families to discover The McNamara Catholic School Difference. If you know someone who is interested in enrolling their children next year, please encourage them to sign up for an individualized tour guided by the school principal or to reach out to Mrs. Berg at dberg@bmcss.org.
FACTS Application Night: Tuesday, February 17th we will have our FACTS application night. Please bring with you: $40.00 registration fee, 2025 W2 forms or 1099 Forms, 2024 Income tax forms Information about monthly expenses, credit cards, insurance, etc. People will be on hand to answer questions and help you complete your FACTS tuition forms. All FACTS applications must be completed by March 1st.
Valentine’s Day Parties: Friday, February 13th! Parties will be at 10:00 am, and our school will dismiss at 11:30 am. Students may be out of uniform and wear red, white, or pink to celebrate!
Black History Month: Our school will celebrate Black History Month from February 9th to February 28th. Through research, stories, and songs, students will learn about notable Black Americans and their contributions to our nation.
The Little Mermaid: Thank you to everyone who tried out and congrats to our cast. Stay tuned for show information closer to April 24th and 25th.
Parent Ambassador Opportunity: Monday, March 9th we will be hosting our annual Irish Fund Phonathon. We are looking for parent volunteers for a number of jobs. Please see the link below and sign up!

Winter Cheer Camp: Feb 17, 18, & 19 our Bishop Mac Cheerleaders will be hosting a winter cheer camp at the Kankakee site. It is open to students 1st – 8th grade. The group will learn and preform at the home game on February 20th. The cost is $35 and each camper will receive a t-shirt. Fundraising and Events
Caddyshack Golf Outing: The Caddyshack Golf Outing will take place on Friday, August 7th, at Aspen Ridge Golf Course. If you'd like to get a head start on your parent ambassador hours for the 2026-2027 school year, consider joining The Caddyshack Golf Outing committee. To get involved, contact Peggy Mayer at pmayer@bmcss.org.
RaiseRight (formerly Scrip): Start earning tuition credit 2025-26 now! By using gift cards to pay for everyday (and not-so-everyday) expenses, each participant can earn over $1,000 each year. For every gift card purchased, you receive earnings, 50% of your earned rebate will be applied to next year’s tuition. Questions, contact Sandy Kuntz at skuntz@bmcss.org.

Attention Families! Protecting God’s Children Seminars: All parent ambassadors/volunteers are required to complete a VIRTUS/Protecting God’s Children course before assisting the school. If you are a new parent or have not completed the course please see the information below
In order to volunteer in any capacity, i.e., classroom parties, lunch duty, parent work day etc. the Diocese requires certification. Please see the following steps for completion:
Step 1: Go to www.virtusonline.org to create an account.
Step 2: Accept and Acknowledge understanding of the Policy and Standards.
Step 3: Take the Protecting God’s Children online course through Virtus.org
Step 4: Give consent for the Name-Based Background Check through Virtus.org
Step 5: Fill out the Parent Volunteer Application

February 17: FACTS Night Bradley Site 6:00 pm
February 18: Ash Wednesday mass, 8:30 am with St. Joseph Parish
February 19: Madrina NUT Day for $1.00.
February 20: Stations of the Cross, 2:20 pm. All are welcome!
February 27: Trimester 2 ends. No School. Diocese of Joliet Teacher In-service
February 28: Trivia Night @ Kankakee site **21+ event
March 1: FACTS applications due!
March 14: Irish Alumni Hoops, Hops & Shamrocks event **21+ event
