Bradley Tuesday Folder Updates

December 2, 2025

Important Information

Thank you to all who volunteered or sent desserts to our Turkey Feast. It was a huge success. We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are ready to take on Advent.  Please see below for some events to help you celebrate this time of year.

Snow Day Packets: Today all children in PK-5th grade will bring home a large gold envelope containing two days of work to be done if we have a snow day in the future. Since our students do not participate in e-learning, we wanted them to be prepared if and when we have to close school due to weather. Each packet contains two days of work. If we have a day off of school, you will be directed to have children complete a day's worth of activities that say, "Day 1". If we have an additional day, they will complete the work that says, "Day 2."

o   Please keep the packets in a place where they can be found easily. You will be notified when to use them. This allows us to finish the school year on time without adding extra days to our calendar. Thank you for your help!

Join us this coming Friday, December 5th at 6:15 pm. For the Bradley Lighted Christmas Parade: We invite you to walk alongside the BMCS school float in the 40th Annual Bradley Lighted Christmas Parade. The theme for the parade this year is Christmas on Gingerbread Lane.  If you would like to help decorate the float, please join others at the Bradley site on Friday, December 5th from 9 am to noon. Ambassador hours will be given to all adult helpers.

Christmas Practice and Program/Save the Date:  Students PreK3 – 5th grade from the Bourbonnais and Bradley sites will be performing at the BMCS Christmas Program on Wednesday, December 17th at 6:30pm at Centennial Chapel on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University.

o   Our school children will travel by bus to ONU during the day on Wednesday, December 17th to practice their Christmas program on the big stage. Then we will come back together Wednesday night at 6:00 pm for the official show. Students should be dressed up in their most festive clothing for the Christmas program. When the children arrive, they will find their teacher and then sit with them until the program begins. The Centennial Chapel at ONU is so spacious, you can invite entire family to join us for this special occasion. Doors open at 6:00 pm.

Inclement Weather: In the case of the school closing due to inclement weather, we will communicate with families via email, on our website, through WVLI, WFAV, WIVR, WYUR, and through all of our social media channels.

The Little Mermaid: Auditions for the spring musical “The Little Mermaid” will take place in January. Be on the lookout for those dates in the coming weeks!

School Board: Interested in joining the School Board? We are looking for passionate members who want to make a difference! Inquire to Kaelyn Bess kbess@bmcss.org today!
