A high school career is just 1460 days short. At Bishop McNamara, we're giving students the tools and resources they need to make every day count academically, spiritually, and socially. Every day is part of the journey to the next level whether that's college/university, serving our country in the armed forces, or joining the work force.

Irish 1460: Week of January 13

Schedule Changes: Schedule changes for second semester are only available until Friday, January 16th. See Mrs. Malm before then.

School in Session: To make up for the snow day we had, we will be going to school for half of the day on Friday, February 13th. We will dismiss at 12 pm. Our original calendar had a full day in-service that day.

Donate While You Dine: Visit Monicals of Bourbonnais on Tuesday Jan 20th. 20% of all sales will be donated to the MacPac!

National Honor Society: Any Junior or Senior eligible for National Honor Society will be receiving applications shortly. Please be aware of requirements.

Service Hours: Please stay up to date on inputting service hours. Seniors, you must have 60 to graduate!

No School: No school Monday, Jan 19th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

Trivia Night: BMCS Athletic Booster Club’s Trivia Night is back February 28th! Socialize, have fun, and support Irish Athletics. Sign up your team here: Click here **this is a 21+ event

Parking Spots: Parents and students, please remember that the spots in the front of the lot are reserved for auction purchasers. This includes school parking, events and games!

Irish Expo: January 25th from 1-3PM Bishop McNamara Kankakee Site will be showcasing all we have to offer. Find out what we are all about!

Special Olympics Night: Friday January 30th at 5:30pm Bishop Mac will host River Valley Special Rec Vs Lincoln Way Special Rec. This is a fun night with giveaways, contests, and more!

All Site Mass: Jan 26th, during Catholic Schools week, we will have all site mass at the Kankakee site gym. Parents are welcome to join. Students, please remember mass attire.

Quarter Zips: Quarter zips were sent home with students last Friday (1/9). If you have any questions, please contact Meghan Elliott at melliott@bmcss.org.

Illinois Youth Survey: Only Our school will be participating in the Illinois Youth Survey during the week of January 20–23. Participation is completely voluntary, and choosing not to participate will not affect your child’s standing at school. If you do not want your child to participate, you must complete the opt-out form attached and return it to the school by Friday, January 16

The Little Mermaid: Auditions for the spring musical “The Little Mermaid” are on January 21st, Please sign up for a time slot online! Audition packets and information can be picked up from the Black Box Theater.
