New Information 

No School: Friday, February 27th there is no school due to a Diocesan Inservice with all staff.

End of Trimester: Friday, February 27th is end of trimester 2. Report cards will be emailed Wednesday March 4th.

Out of Uniform Day: The Irish Fund will be hosting an out of uniform day on Thursday, March 13th for a minimum $2 donation. This Irish Fund is a vital part of the school’s financial support. Help us hit our year end goal!

Parent Ambassador Opportunity: Monday, March 9th we will be hosting our annual Irish Fund Phonathon. We are looking for parent volunteers for a number of jobs. Please see the link below and sign up!

Coolest School: The coolest school fundraiser is back again this year. Our awesome staff will be scooping up ice cream on Wednesday, March 4th at Oberweis in Bradley from 4-9pm. 20% of all sales will come back to the school so make sure you say you’re there for Bishop Mac!

Yearbook Orders: Order forms were sent home during Connections on February 4. Please check your child’s backpack. All orders are due March 2 and should be turned in to the main office. Extra copies are available in the office.

I-Ready My Path: Students should complete 45 minutes per week, actively engaging in and passing lessons. Parents/Guardians, we kindly ask for your partnership at home by checking your child’s i-Ready account with them. Please ask them to show you their My Path lessons and progress, including completed lessons and weekly minutes. Students should be able to demonstrate their work and growth. Students are expected to complete 45 minutes each week, actively engaging in and passing lessons rather than simply being logged in.

The Little Mermaid: Tickets for the Spring show The Little Mermaid will go on sale soon. Stay tuned for information closer to April 24th and 25th.

Late Students: The Junior High doors are locked at 8:01 from 2:59. Please use the main doors on Brookmont Blvd. for any student arriving late or leaving early during the school day.

Caddyshack Golf Outing: The Caddyshack Golf Outing will take place on Friday, August 7th, at Aspen Ridge Golf Course. If you'd like to get a head start on your parent ambassador hours for the 2026-2027 school year, consider joining The Caddyshack Golf Outing committee. To get involved, contact Peggy Mayer at pmayer@bmcss.org. 
Hoops, Hops, & Shamrocks: Saturday, March 14th at the Kankakee Country Club from 4:00pm-11:00pm for an evening of fun which includes; food, drinks, live music, NCAA basketball, basket and 50/50 raffles all evening long! RaiseRight (formerly Scrip): Start earning tuition credit 2025-26 now! By using gift cards to pay for everyday (and not-so-everyday) expenses, each participant can earn over $1,000 each year. For every gift card purchased, you receive earnings, 50% of your earned rebate will be applied to next year’s tuition. Questions, contact Sandy Kuntz at skuntz@bmcss.org.

Attention Families! Protecting God’s Children Seminars: All parent ambassadors/volunteers are required to complete a VIRTUS/Protecting God’s Children course before assisting the school.  If you are a new parent or have not completed the course please see the information below. In order to volunteer in any capacity, i.e., classroom parties, lunch duty, parent work day etc. the Diocese requires certification. Please see the following steps for completion:

Step 1: Go to www.virtusonline.org to create an account.
Step 2: Accept and Acknowledge understanding of the Policy and Standards.
Step 3: Take the Protecting God’s Children online course through Virtus.org
Step 4: Give consent for the Name-Based Background Check through Virtus.org
Step 5: Fill out the Parent Volunteer Application
